Created to fight against forced and child labor in the fashion retail value chain, the ABVTEX Program represents the sector’s effort by retail chains to implement the best compliance practices among their suppliers and subcontractors. The Program is a sectoral effort released by the Brazilian Textile Retail Association, which represents the main fashion retail chains, including clothing, footwear, accessories and home textiles.
Therefore, the main objective is to promote best practices with socio-environmental responsibility throughout the fashion value chain. Approvals are granted by independent auditing bodies within three categories: Gold, Silver and Bronze. Our three production units, in Birigui, Gabriel Monteiro and Penápolis, are certified with the program’s Bronze seal.
At KLIN, our commitment to sustainability is recognized by the “Sustainable Origin” seal. This seal attests to our commitment to contributing to a more environmentally friendly footwear industry. It also shows our commitment to building a sustainable future and that we value our brand and the impact we make in the footwear industry.
The “Sustainable Origin” seal is a notable achievement as it is the only ESG certification in the world specifically aimed at footwear companies that care about environmental, social and governance issues. We are very proud to have achieved “Sustainable Origin – Gold Level” status, which shows that our efforts for a more sustainable world are recognized and rewarded.
KLIN shoes undergo rigorous testing at IBTEC – Brazilian Institute of Leather, Footwear and Artifacts Technology – and for this reason, we have the exclusive Healthy Walk seal.
In a partnership with IBETC, we constantly participate on research and tests, searching for new technologies, developing resistant and soft materials, all to guarantee and truly deliver the Healthy Walk, as children need and deserve, according to each phase.
